HoloMonitor DEMO

Dear colleagues,

We would like to invite you to the demonstration of the PHI HoloMonitor microscopic system which will be installed at our core facility at BIOCEV. It is an incubator-based research QPI microscope.

The demonstration will take place on 19th and 20th September. We will start with a theoretical lecture on Tuesday and the practical demonstrations will follow on Wednesday. You are kindly invited to test the system with your own samples.

The registration deadline for practical demonstrations is this Friday, September 14th. Please, find more information in the attached flyer here.

We are hiring!

Are you interested in microscopy, ultrastructural analysis and pursuing a career in the imaging core facility? In the right place at the right time! We are seeking a research-technical staff scientist to join as a new member of our team in the IMCF. For more information and contact follow this link.

Give us feedback!

Would you like to express your appreciation of our services? Or are you dissatisfied with the state of our equipment? We value your opinion. If you could spend a few moments, you can fill in a brief feedback form here. Please, indicate in the Other comments field which IMCF service your feedback refers to (optical/electron microscopy, flow cytometry).

Brand new planning board!

The CEITEC team responsible for managing the booking system used by our (and many other) facility introduced a new version of the booking system. There are a few new features that are pretty neat – managing the Favorites list, for example. The response seems to be faster and some of the pitfalls have been removed. The new version deployment is scheduled for Friday, December 4. Let’s hope everything runs smoothly. The manual for the booking system can be found here.

FNOB – new date

The government extended the state of emergency to at least November 20. Although it is not clear what comes afterwards, we find it unlikely the conditions will allow our FLIM not only for biologists practical course to take place as planned originally. Therefore we decided to postpone the course to February 10-12, 2021.

SMMM 2020 Workshop postponed

Our practical course on Single Molecule Microscopy and Manipulation had to be rescheduled due to the COVID-related measures imposed by the authorities. Based on a poll among the registered participants, a new date of the Workshop was set to January 18-22, 2021. Fingers crossed!
