When?

When publishing data acquired using the facility’s equipment or services, the users are required to acknowledge the facility.

If scientists from the IMCF contributed with more than just routine techniques and provided significant intellectual input to the study, please, consider them for co-authorship of the paper.

Why?

Acknowledging the services of the IMCF is crucial as it visibly demonstrates the facility’s impact and is vital for securing ongoing funding.

How?

We kindly request that any publications resulting from the use of facility instruments or services acknowledge the contributions of the IMCF as a whole. Additionally, if a specific member of the IMCF staff has provided substantial assistance or personally generated additional data for your study, we would appreciate it if you could acknowledge their individual efforts by name, alongside your acknowledgment of the IMCF.

In order to sustain appropriate presentation, technical quality, annotation and interpretation of imaging data in publications (in accord with conventional standards and guidelines in microscopy) our staff reserves the right to review relevant parts of manuscripts containing results generated in the IMCF prior to their submission.

Please send a reprint of the paper, or an e-mail including the reference information for the publication, to the head of the IMCF and to the IMCF staff who contributed to the work.
