Any data left on the computer hard drives are unsafe and may be deleted without warning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is not permitted to connect flash drives or USB external hard drives to local acquisition computers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Users are obliged to transfer\/export their data after acquisition to the network storage. Each local acquisition computer has mapped network drive&nbsp;<em>atom<\/em>&nbsp;for this purpose. See the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/intranet.biocev.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">BIOCEV intranet<\/a>&nbsp;for instructions to access&nbsp;<em>atom<\/em>. The network folder \\\\atom.biocev.org\\SCRATCH\\_all_scratch is mapped on all acquisition control computers and analysis workstations. Data copied to this folder are deleted automatically after one week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>All users are recommended to adhere to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.go-fair.org\/fair-principles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FAIR data principles<\/a>. <\/strong>                                       As part of our commitment to supporting FAIR data practices, the IMCF facility operates:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>OMERO server (<a href=\"https:\/\/omero.natur.biocev.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/omero.natur.biocev.org\/<\/a>). <a href=\"https:\/\/www.openmicroscopy.org\/omero\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">OMERO <\/a>is a robust platform that enables researchers to organize, annotate, share, and collaborate on microscopy images and data. For inquiries on how to integrate OMERO into your workflow and take advantage of its data-sharing capabilities at the IMCF facility, please contact the IMCF staff.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Electronic laboratory notebooks (ELNs). IMCF currently operates two test instances of electronic laboratory notebooks accessible from biocev network (<a href=\"https:\/\/kadi-test.biocev.org\/\">Kadi4Mat<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/elabftw-test.biocev.org\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/elabftw-test.biocev.org\/\">ElabFTW<\/a>). An ELN is a software tool that, at its most basic level, replicates an interface similar to a page in a paper laboratory notebook.
